Sale of Goods:
Items will only be posted when payment has been received in full. We will wait for cheques to clear before posting goods.
We take security very seriously, if we suspect that credit cards may be being used fraudulently we reserve the right to postpone sending goods whilst reasonable enquiries are made to ensure credit card is not stolen. We use a secure server for all card transactions. Our shopping cart software is Roman Cart which is highly respected, simple to use and secure.
Postage & Packing:
Customer will be charged postage during the ‘Check Out’ section of the shopping cart. In general we use weight to calculate postage so that the more you purchase the cheaper the postage becomes (relatively). We use Royal Mail 1st Class post for most small domestic parcels and Royal Mail Standard Parcel service for heavier items. Larger parcels are sent by Courier. We pack all items to a very high standard.
International parcels will be sent using either the Royal Mail airmail Printed Papers service where possible or surface mail (there are weight restrictions for both these services which vary from country to country, 5 Kg in most countries but only 2 Kg in others), otherwise a courier service will need to be used.
All parcels sent within the UK include insurance against loss in transit up to £36.00 as standard. Please select an insured service at ‘Check Out’ if goods require more insurance. International parcels do not include insurance unless insured post is selected at ‘Check Out’.
Please note that ceramics and antiques are not insurable during posting. In this case an insured service can be selected which may offer greater peace of mind but ultimately there is no insurance available for ceramics or antiques. This is beyond our control, the only services available that will insure these items are astronomically expensive and are therefore not used.
We will never share your contact information or any other personal details with anyone else for commercial purposes, we will not sell or pass on your details to any other agency for any purpose other than the following exclusions, where we are obliged to do so by a law enforcement agency (e.g. the Police, HM Customs and Excise etc.) or where a fraud is believed to have taken place in which case we will co-operate with credit card companies and other affected parties.
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase and offer a no quibble full refund guarantee. Items which are returned for any reason other than faulty or incorrect goods are subject to the following conditions:
- All returns must be returned in original unused condition. Items that are soiled or used will void refund.
- Returned items must be packed properly (in original packaging) for secure posting. Items that are damaged during return transit due to inadequate packing will void refund.
- We will refund cost of purchase only - postage costs will not be refunded.
- All returns must be notified within 7 days of delivery or refund will be voided.
- Please contact us before returning any item to obtain return code.
In the event of faulty, mis-described or the wrong goods being sent we will refund postage costs as well as cost of goods. If appropriate we will first offer a replacement or alternative item. Items which are found to have been damaged through abuse, incorrect use or deliberate damage will void refund.
